Data Display options
There are a number of ways you can change the appearance of the display.
- Row Numbers. You can display a Row Number column by selecting View > Row Numbers (or F4). You can specify whether this is displayed by default with Options > Display Options > Show Row Numbers.
- Two Color Display. You can display the data in a two-color display by selecting View > Two-color (or Ctrl+T). You can specify whether this is displayed by default with Options > Display Options > Two-color display.
- Variable Height. You can display the data with variable row heights by selecting View > Variable Row Height (or Ctrl+H). You can specify whether this is displayed by default with Options > Display Options > Variable Row Height.
- Font. You can change the font used in the display with Edit > Set Font. This font will be remembered (even between AQT sessions).
- Freeze columns and rows. A frozen column/row remains fixed when the data is scrolled. To do this, right-click then select Freeze Column or Freeze Row.
Changing the Displayed Columns
- You can change the order of the columns on this display by dragging columns to a new position.
- You can hide columns from the display by dragging them "away".
- You can undo the last column-hide with View > Undo Last Hide Column (Ctrl+U). You can undo all column-hides with View > Undo All Hide Columns.
- You can automatically hide columns that contain values which are all null. This is done with View > Hide all Null columns (Ctrl+N).
- You can automatically hide columns that contain some other value with View > Hide all columns where...
Saving the data Layout
Once you have adjusted the layout of the data according to the way you wish to view it, you can save this layout information with View > Save Layout. This is described in more detail in Saving / retrieving the display Layout.
Formatting the Data
You can do more comprehensive formatting of your data by clicking on View > Format Data.
