These give the options for the display of SQL in the Run SQL window. Any changes to these options take effect only the next time a Run SQL window is opened.
The SQL is displayed using the Editeur Control from StudioWare. These options configure this control.
Access these options through Run SQL > Syntax Highlighting.
This specifies the Font to use for the text. Other attributes of the text (such as Bold, Italic etc) are given in the Colors box on this tab. The default font is Courier New, 9 pt.
This option specifies what is to happen when the Tab key is pressed:
Specifies whether the SQL text is to be automatically indented as new lines are entered.
This box specifies the colors and text effects of the various types of text in your SQL.
Clicking on Revert to Default restores the colors/effects to the default settings.
The keyword file contains further options about the formatting of the SQL, plus a list of all the keywords recognised. You may wish to change this file if you wish to add some extra keywords.
If AQT reports that it cannot find this file (aqt.ini
) when this button is used, you can search for the file manually and edit it as required. Do not change the file's location. However when AQT is running, it does find the file through the Editeur control.
It is possible to have up to three categories of keywords. AQT currently uses only one category. Use the [Keywords2
] and [Keywords2
] sections in the file to specify these.
Another option that you might wish to change is UppercaseKeywords. When this set to Yes, all keywords are displayed in upper case.
This initialises the registry entries for the Editeur Control. You shouldn't need to do this, as it happens automatically if AQT sees that these are not present (which can happen if you run AQT as a different Windows user than the one it was installed under).
If something goes wrong, and the Run SQL window is not usable, you can try clicking this button and then open the Run SQL window again.
